Dream Resurrection

Dream Resurrection or DCRES is a project maintained by TuxTheWise. The goal is making high quality releases, caring about dummy (faster loadings), file order (GD or custom that makes loadings faster and reader noise quieter), downsampling (the best quality with available space) and selfboot. Please always see readme files of each game, they always have important information. Feedback? Suggestions? Problems? Fell free to send a PM.

Silver (NTSC-U)
---------------
Ripped: Nothing.
Downsampled: 2 videos downsampled.
Source: Kalisto's release (oRARs) and european GD dump.

After a lot of work, I couldn't make european version pass of company's logo, so I got Kalisto's
release. The american version has an extra code to check the region of the console, but
fortunately Kalisto released a patch and I applied it, so it works fine on PAL and NTSC-J consoles
now. Two videos had to be downsampled to make space for selfboot session, but bitrate
got very high so I doubt you'll notice any difference.

Before you complain, original videos have crap quality, it's not my fault. And videos also play
strange, probably because they are encoded in 25 fps. But they were like that even on american
version, so that's another thing that is not my fault. Oh, and I know that some texts are hard to
read if you are not using a VGA-Box, but again, not my fault. Go complain with the company that
ported this game.

File order got optimized, so loadings must be faster now. Enjoy.

Features of my release:
- Not corrupted files at all, it was made with GD dump files and Kalisto's release oRARs.
- Used custom file order based on GD's. It helps loading times and Dreamcast reader noise.
- Selfboot.

About the game:
- It has VGA Box support.

Other comments:
- "Extras" folder in the pack contains some useless stuff.
- Release comes with manual and covers.

Save the text below with .sfv extension and open with any SFV checker. I recommend RapidCRC.

Extracting files:
Use 7-zip. For unpacking the RAR files inside archive, you can use WinRAR.

Burning files:
Alcohol 120% probably can burn all extensions, but I recommend Disc Juggler for CDI files.

Emulators are a bit temperamental and poo, I suspect that it a problem with the emulator rather than the image. :(

Someone who uses emus might still be able to help though...

Anyone can reupload the POPO release in the last post? my version of Silver is extremely difficult to read, not just this game but many others, but finally with the "new" rips i'm playing games easily, put on the dreamcast and read at the first try.

Thanks!  :-[
