Yeah... I'd much rather spend all that money and then spend some more for online play.
Last time I checked, the only console that makes you pay for online gameplay was the 360. In different ways all 3 consoles are good. I don't own a PS3, but I did own a 360 and the only worthwhile title in my opinion was Oblivion. There were FPS's galore, and there were some good ones like Bioshock, but I guess for whatever reason I just hated it.
PS3 seems to have the few titles that actually have any meat, like MGS4.

360 costs because its well made, organized, has alot of shit that wii and ps3s networking doesnt, besides its not that much, hell I get cards on craigslist for cheap. Oblivion was alright but morrowind was better to me.  Ive played alot of the PS3 exclusives and there about average for the most part, other than MGS, the PS3 exclusives cant touch the ones on 360.  Mass Effect, Bioshock, GoW and even though I myself cant stand the game, Halo 3.

Same here. I never beat Morrowind, but I played Oblivion till I had finished every single mission, and that includes all the side quests.

heh, morrowind definitally kicked oblivions ass, seriously, if they re-made it with oblivions engine, there wouldn't be one person dissagreeing. I still liked oblivion, it was just really bland in comparison.

wow, tards in here. fuck PS3 its a pile of shit what do you think PS stands for? no its not PlayStation, its Pile of Shit. besides its only got like 2 good exclusive games total.
get a 360, WAAAAAAAAAAY more good exclusive games, and the multiplatformers are as good and in many cases better on 360, get an elite and dont wory about red rings. besides the rings are an easy fix. the elite also has full HD output just like a PoS3, and the 360 doesnt require you to install a game to play it.  if you want that, get a computer.
Sorry I have to side with Adam here.
PS3 is a load of crap. All you get is a few okay games, and all the good ones are already on the 360! They're even releasing Final Fantasy games on the 360.
The only reason I'd ever want a ps3 is for Little Big Planet. But there's no way in hell I'd buy a bloated system for one good game. 360 is your friend, much much more and better games. You can get almost all the same games as on the ps3 and many many more that you can't get on the ps3.
Plus Live may not be free but it beats ps3's network 20 to 1

[edit] also isn't there now going to be a price cut for the 360?

"All you get is a few okay games, and all the good ones are already on the 360!."

'cos MGS4 totally sucked, any I'm pretty sure no 360 fanboy has ever tried to play resistance or uncharted.

"The only reason I'd ever want a ps3 is for Little Big Planet."

I'm waiting for that one, it'll be fun

"But there's no way in hell I'd buy a bloated system for one good game."

define a bloated system.

"360 is your friend, much much more and better games."

The fuck are you saying?

"You can get almost all the same games as on the ps3 and many many more that you can't get on the ps3."

You can say the same about the ps3, there are cross over titles, and console specific ones. the big producers are of course going to release games on both systems to increase total sales, one thing about this situation is you can get most 360 exclusive titles on the PC.

For me, when it comes down to it, I want a good multiplayer experience, and with Xbox Live I totally get that. I'm hoping one day in the future MGS4 will come for the 360, I hear a lot of people say it won't and blah blah blah, well you just watch, mister ... lol anything's possible.

I want a PS3 just for streetfighter 4 oh and maybe as a Bluray player other than that im pretty unimpressed with todays systems  infact the DC was probably the last system to hold my attention.

I've played both resistance and uncharted, I liked resistance okay, uncharted was good for awhile but I got bored. I'm not saying that there's absolutely no good games on ps3, but there's much more good games on 360.

Yeah that one I am a bit jealous of, but that's the only one.

define a bloated system.
A system with quick features thrown in like the six-axis, or awards to be competitive against the Wii and 360. Online that feels broken most of the time and stale, pathetic online download offerings, and more focus on media then the actual games. Most of these features were copied just to compete, and were half heartily implemented.
The Wii and the 360 took their own course to improve and design their known great features, and have streamlined their featureset.

Gears of War, Gears of War2, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Halo3, Halo Wars, Beautiful Katamari, Dead or Alive 4, Crackdown, Guilty Gear 2: Overture, Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Many more I'm leaving out, all exclusives.

How many up there that I listed are gonna be on pc, except maybe Halo Wars?

I'm not a 360 fanboy, I keep up on all systems. I'm actually much more of a Wii and DC fanboy then anything else. Not wanting to argue, just giving info.

yeah I realy saw no fanboyism in his post, hes just doing as I do, stating what he sees.  Ive played resistance, havent got to uncharted yet.  and as he said, it was just alright, not mindblowing or anything.  and me, If your gonna classify me as any sort of fanboy, Nintendo/Sega all the way, fuck msoft and most certainly fuck sony.  you can call me the opposite of a fanboy for sony.      Anyone else gonna get SDVR2009?  Ill play ya.

I'm impressed by this. All this time I thought you were a complete M$ fanboy and just hated Sony because of the console rivalry.

lol, its not so much that Im a fanboy of any one company, as it is I just realy hate sony, not just consoles, I wont buy there TVs, computers, radios, or anything. and when I do get something of theres, I buy it from a 3rd party(friends, craigslist) so none of the money reaches them.  and Im not gonna fuck other companies over just cause I hate sony, which is why I bother getting the systems. cause there are good games on the system, there all 3rd party.

Same here. Both companies are completely evil. But I hate M$ less because it's a good system with good games, also saten recently stepped down from heading it. :D

LOL exactly I won't even buy a sony screen haha
I think what finally did it for me was that article they made about games not being art.
