I knew his blue ass would end up in it.  It was only a matter of time.  A delay hasn't been finalized but Japan won't be getting it until January.  Now that Sonic has been announced, I'm not that upset about a delay.

What a joke.  To be honest, I played the original smash bros. on N64 when I was a kid - but never liked the sequels.  Now that I'm older, I went back and played the original, and hate that too.  I can't see how I ever liked it.  Oh well.

And what in the world is Sonic gonna do?  The only thing he does is spin dash - and realistically that would cut everybody in half.  But I have a feeling that Nintendo won't put something so violent in it.

I just watched the video.  I like how they used music and a character voice that resembles Sonic Adventure.  Still... Sonic in a Nintendo game - for shame .

It's not necessarily that Sega is "selling out" or anything like that.  It's more along the lines of solidifying for me that Sega will never come out with another console.  Just makes me a little sad .

That is too funny.  I think it's a nice concept putting Sonic in there.  If any character has issues fitting in, it would be Snake, not Sonic.

By the by I read that the game is now expected to ship Feb. 10th

as for snake, visually the fire emblem dudes fit right in and they're not super cartoony, so he really ought to as well.

Recall Soul Calibur for GameCube? Nintento let Namco get their hands on Link. Nintendo let Capcom get their hands on Link for the GameBoy games, and let's be honest, those were amazing.

In all honesty, if I see Sonic in non-Sega games, I pray to the great Swirl they are Nintendo made. At least we know with Nintendo the game will be what it should be, Sonic will move and act like Sonic, and he will be treated with respect. He was, after all, a fearsome opponent for many years, and they owe him that much.

Now if Sonic were in M$ first party titles, I would be afraid he would need a "XBOX 360 patch 0.987.1f" before he could run at speed, and then he would have a blinking red ring of death that made him unable to take any action until you shipped his little blue butt back to Redmond for a 2 month vacation...

Good point, I am however worried about Mario being put in a sega game...(Mario and Sonic at the olympics) Sega's recent offerings have not been stellar, and rarely does Mario make an appearance in a shitty game.  I just hope Sega doesn't piss off Nintendo by shitting on their mascot with a crappy game.
