the super nintendo has the worst sound chip ever!

hey guys just want to talk some shit. i bought an FXPAK pro from stoneage gamer (snes flash cart) and i also soldered in new capacitors into my snes from the 90s. been playing snes for the past couple of weeks and holy crap the snes sound chip is so much crappier than the genesis sound chip! the super nintendo has better graphics (richer colors) and of course the snes library has many classics but fuck i prefer the genesis bros! specifically genesis produces way better sounding music, like its not even close!

do you guys agree with me that the genesis sound chip is far superior to the snes sound chip? the snes can do cleaner sounding speech or samples but the genesis music is soooo much better!

its also hilarious that ken kutaragi aka the father of playstation designed the snes sound chip which nintendo was so impressed with sony was the original partner for the snes cd ad on. fast foward sony gets burned by nintendo and creates the playstation. the shitty sounding snes soundchip basically lead to the playstation LULZ!1111

I agree, the Genesis was much better at heavier sounding music. The Snes sounds darker to me, like someone turned the treble way down. That Metroid OST was awesome!
