Dreamcast vs Black CD-R
« on: February 07, 2010, 09:12:04 PM »
Just to add a bit to the Dreamcast burning lore;  Dreamcast doesn't like the black CD-R's (like PS1, not silver) .
I find this strange because my Game Shark bootdisc is black.

Oh well, they're still good for music and data.

The colour of the disc doesn't make any difference, the laser doesn't see it. Your findings probably just mean that your black CDRs are a bit wank (I have a spindle too, though purely for aesthetic purposes.)

Actually in theory the black bottoms are suppose to have less reflection which in theory save your laser.
