I just started doing this week. Funny thing first few days the games played no problem. I have about 8 of them some games always load Propeller Arena and Macross. Others I have problems with and I re-burnt them..One is Under Defeat and Chaos Field...Some times they load other times they refuse or take multiple attempts...Im currently using Sony Cd-R and picked up some maxell that well on sale....any tips or is this a common thing...Im looking to buy another DC...mine is the orignal launch one that i picked up on that memorable day 9-9-99 i havent played in years so it shouldnt be to worn out?

My DC doesn't always recognize the cd-r's as games either, it sometimes thinks they are audio cd's.  But one or two restarts usually fixes it.  I think this is normal as both of my DCs and my bro-in-law's does the same thing.
A small inconvience for cool cheap games.

I don't think CD-R brand really affects anything...  I just buy whatever brand is cheapest at Big-Lots that week.

Try burning at different speeds and use Nero Discspeed to read the disks. Burning at the lowest speed is not always the best, I suspect you are burning the disks at a speed they don't work at.

Thanks for the tips...Same thing here they often think the are Audio Cd...Im using trial version of Disc Jug and Alc 120. It doesnt give me the option as it selects the speed usually 10...Although I think alcohol burns a bit slower....Where do you get this NeroDiscpeed is this a burning program?? Anyone ever tried DVD decrypter I believe it is capable of burning ISO's...Amber yea I dont mind the inconvenience but sometimes it takes about 12-15 attempts to get the game to load...
