dreamcast problem
« on: November 24, 2009, 06:49:38 AM »
i got my dreamcast, and it plays backups, but its wierd like it doenst want to spin the disk and i gotta hold down the lid at just the right spot so i can hear all the clicking and moving and screaming that it makes to let u know that its reading, and then shut the lid completely, ive read alot of things about calibrating the lens and what not and was wondering if this is one of the signs that i should do that, and it did that to my gd-roms too when i first got it but now they load up without me even having to fiddle with the lid.    any and all input is greatyly apreciated

I've seen that happen before. I think it has something to do with the lid because usually electronics that read discs recognize the lid as being close from the lid it's self. Until it's figured out I suggest getting a roll of tape and using that till it's completely figured out. Good luck!
