Just ordered myself one.

Hopefully it will live unlike my DSTT.

It is cheap because it is obsolete and hasn't been updated for over a year, a bunch of games don't work with it, no DSi support and it the card itself is probably fake.

no one cares about the DSi though, at least I don't. All the games I've played with my r4 have worked just fine no problems ... so ... I mark that as invalid

GTA and Chrono Trigger don't work on it...

I am sure there are fixes and things but that is a pain in the arse...

GTA does work, it works on mine! You just had to replace the Arm 7 or whatever .bin file it was, with another .bin file from Bomberman 2 or something ....... it's hard to explain but I was able to make it work through that method.

You need IPS or something especially for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.

I know this sounds geeky but I'm playing Catan right now, the game based off of the board game ... totally old school but really fun to play! I like those strategy kinda games, and this game is a mix of that and chance.

IPS? I have the R4 III Upgrade or whatever from DealExtreme and have had no problems playing 99% of the games. The only game I had a problem with was GTA the first time around because the arm hadn't been fixed. Anyways, $10 for an r4 goes a very long way considering how much all the games would cost otherwise!

It's easy to understand for me.

Only game I haven't gotten to work is Dragon Quest IX, japanese too, but probably just needs to be patched.

Well I play board games every tuesday and have a copy of Settlers of Catan (the board game not the computer game).

I don't like it that much anymore as there is too much luck and 1 player can really gay you over with the robber which sucks. Caylus is probably my fave Eurogame...

Catan is only about strategy during the first round when you pick where you want to place your settlements ... the rest is pfm (pure fuckin magic)

ok with the DS version, it's hard to explain but the AI never really made it enjoyable. I had to keep saving my progress, and if I lost I'd go back to one of my saves where I was doing really well and do it all over again. The development cards were pre-set so even if you reloaded the save, the development cards would always be the same.

My biggest problem with Catan DS is that the animations were way too slow ... it actually showed each resource going to each player ... VERY tedious ... instead of just showing that everyone got resources lol ... that's probably my only problem in it all.
