2 games at 15 each - $30
hdd - $30
charge kit - $10
extra controller - $25
$245 and it sold for $200. I haven't been getting dick from ebay lately.

I dunno, I'm only going by the fact that people can buy 360's new now a days for like ... $200 on the dot with a 60 gb and 1 wireless. Anyways I guess it's not as bad as I thought. I haven't really bought or sold a 360 in a while.

hahaha I got my wireless controller for 5 bucks at pawn xchange cause it had no batery pack.  bought an official MS charge kit for 10.

With the Wii market reaching its saturation point, you'll probably see Wiis go down at some point (if it hasn't happened already)....although if you have an older Wii, it may go for more cause the newer ones (with LU64 serial numbers) are currently unmoddable (soft and possibly chips either)

I actually just bought a wii and softmodded it. Only cost me $170 shipped.

nice, I've soft modded mine too, but I've really been trying to hold off on doing the playing Wii backups stuff yet (I've already got over 250 VC/WiiWare games, plus emulators, ready to go).  If I buy games, I feel like I'll stick with it longer.  Plus all the good old rail shooters (RE:UC, Ghost Squad, and HotD 2&3) are all on sale this week at GS.  And with Dead Space Extraction coming out, the Wii is definitely a rail shooters system.

Can you download vc games? (I mean, without paying for them) I have a snes emulator, but I bought zelda oot last time I owned a wii and I want to play that.. Haven't figured out how to get into the online shop without updating my firmware yet either.
I hear you about buying the games, I like displaying the cases next to the console for some reason. I just downloaded the games I used to have because I don't think I'll actually try to beat them again but still wanted them around. I'll probably buy madworld though.
Resident evil darkside chronicles looks awesome too.

If you've soft modded the Wii it's possible to put them on there. Just download WAD manager channel, and put all your VC/WiiWare games (they're in WAD format; look up WAD wii downloads in google and you're bound to find something) in a folder so you can keep track of them. This will all make sense once you do it.

Yeah, make sure you read how to upgrade to 4.0 properly (via the wako updater) otherwise you won't be able to install WADS (if you want to be able to move them to an SD card and load them from there).  I have around 250 VC and WiiWare games installed between two SD cards, but honestly anything NES, SNES or Genesis emulates, from what I've seen, flawlessly on the Wii (have yet to try other emulators).  But just those three would put the Wii as the #2 emulation console (behind the regular Xbox of course) imho.

Once you open the Wii upto emulation and WAD installing, it's well worth keeping ahold of for that.

My only problem with a few of those WADs was that some VC games only worked with the "classic controller," and I saw no reason as to why I couldn't just play those games with a nunchuck/remote setup. Like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Bros World.
