that urkle one is mega awesome lol. but you got to lay some of that blame on bush too, his actions of deregulating the financial industry allowed the banks to make those stupid loans that went sour.

Skullinator, the problem wasn't a lack of regulation it was to much regulation. We REGULATED that these banks had to take on toxic loans, and we also REGULATED it so if they failed we would bail them out.

If we weren't there to bail them out, do you think any of these businesses would have made these poor business decisions? The absence of regulation is what we need, Laissez-faire capitalism will prevail always.

So your words and your actions don't match.
Voting is always about the lesser of two evils. I preferred Obama over McCain, that's all. It's not like I agree with everything he says, but honestly I don't follow politics closely at all either.

Point taken. I sure wish everyone didn't have that attitude though, because imo its leading to the downfall of our country.  ???

Whoa whoa whoa!  The financial crisis was caused by the Community Reinvestment Act: requiring banks to give out bad loans to minorities and people who couldn't pay them back.  That's Jimmy Carter and Clinton.

The banks had no choice.  Any bank hoping to expand their operations would get slammed by ACORN as racists if they didn't agree to give out bad loans...

Are you saying that all poor people are black and all miniorites are poor‽. ;)

Also voting is always between a douchebag and a turd sandwich.

Did anyone else notice that the president just fired the CEO of GM?  How the hell does a president fire the CEO of a private company!?

sorry if there taking tax payer dollars they aren't private anymore. Don't like it? Don't take my money.

Although this is a losing argument in my behalf, I don't think we should give them anything.

So the dems basically get to put our great great grandchildren into debt so obama can buy private companies with our money, without any of us voting on it or having a say?
