Seriously at this point I can't think of one reason id want to switch over to vista from xp. Like said before I don't need all those useless fancy features that windows 7 is trying to implement.

It'll probably cost $500 ... Microsoft needs to really consider the audience they're chuckin this out to. We're not stupid. They already got a strike for Vista's high performance needs. We just want an OS that gets shit done, really. I have an XP OS, I have an OKAY laptop, and I just use it for the basics. I don't need Windows 7 in order to do these things. And I'm not here for fancy looks either.

For all we know, Windows 7 might use up a whole gig of RAM in order to operate ... lol

Ouch, haha.

Ill never switch from XP.
Well have fun staying behind the times.  There's going to be a point where you'll have to update or have seriously outdated hardware.  It's stupid to say that Vista adds a bunch of useless features: because it doesn't.  Vista's search is infinitely better than XP and has it built into the start menu which saves a lot of time.  Just because you don't want to adapt to the new technologies doesn't mean they are useless.

I see no reasons for worrying about startup times infact i would go as far as saying your system is having too much downtime if startups are a problem

Ill switch eventually maybe even skip Vista if a better OS arrives in time when i get around to building a new PC XP serves the Shitbucket i have well and will do so untill i scrap it

Macs belong inside a work enviroment for anything else they can suck balls

Windows 7 is "nice" and seems to be better than Vista...except for one thing.
It seems to look on the internet for a more current version of a program that you are installing...automatically...and if I remember - it will install that one and not your "older version" that you were planing to install!

I dont like the sound of that seems like a fix for hacked progs

64 bit blows

IT BLOWS if you have a shitty pc. Don't get 64 bit unless you have an insane processor, and like 8+ gigs of memory.
