well what does voting prove? I mean when Bush was voted president he should have lost but isn't it funny how the state that the first time around said that Bush lost that state but then later that day said he won. Who is the Governor of that state? Oh yea his brother! So voting just gives you a false hope that maybe you made the right choice. This country was bought years ago and the shit they shuffle around every 4 years is meaningless. The way I see it is that Obama will win not because the American people vote for him but it shows the rest of the world that we are not racist and tells the american people that they listen to us. Everything I hear come out of the Obama campaign is exactly what the people want. What better way to get votes than to tell people your going to do exactly what they want. This country isn't ran that way. If so then I should be able to tell a cop "fuck you" and keep on walking without getting arrested. This country is based on lies and having Bush in office shows that. I mean how did we even get this country? We stole it from the mexicans and the Native Americans and we have a feast every year to celebrate it. Proud to be an American? NO just lucky

where the fuck did you just come from silly head!? ??? lol voting is important because it influences what a majority of that state is going to vote for, then all the states collide with their votes and etc etc and the more someone votes for someone, the better the chance of someone else becoming president. The more people you talk to and persuade, the more inclined they will be to vote for someone if they really have a neutral opinion.

We're obviously already not racist if we're letting all kinds of races live in the US with us ... that's why we're called the United States ... we're voting for Obama because he is a man of his word. Only thing McCain is totally noted for is being tossed away in a prison camp for years or whatev. He's nice but he's old. Obama is the right age. Hilary's resignation from candidacy just a couple days ago and encouragement to vote for Obama makes it even more of a better chance that he will win (proving my point). But if we really wanted to vote for McCain, I'm sure we could make it possible for him to win.

The fact is, does it really matter who we vote for? Not much has changed in the past 21 years of my life as far as politics, rules and regulations. It might affect some of my life and I just haven't noticed but ... for now I just don't care. No matter who becomes president, our whole problem with energy and oil will be fixed this next time around, medical will be fixed, soldiers in Iraq will go home. And no matter who's president, they will handle the next terrorist attack the same way they handled it before.

Freedom of speech only goes so far. Sure you can tell someone on the street fuck you, but the police are the law, and it's about ethics and showing some respect and fairness. Sure, some cops don't have that. But who gives a fuck if you can't say fuck you, who gives a fuck about that. The fact is you just can't tell a cop fuck you or they will fuck you up, PERIOD.

And we're not "lucky." We worked our assholes off to get here. All of us did.

How did you work for it? Who on here is in the military? You sit comfortable at home while the poor who signed up to fight is dying so you can be on this site and express your opinion. Working at a job doesn't do nothing but you paying taxes. Which you get back but then you spend. I don't believe that this time around there will be a change. Just because someone says it doesn't mean it's going to happen. Looking back on past presidents shows that. Obama is no different except he has studied what all the presidents went wrong and I don't mean how they handled the country. To win is all about what you say. You would believe him if he said free health care wouldn't you? Until I see results I don't go by someones word. Promises can always be made but to follow through is a even bigger challenge. Women make promises all the time about commitment but they still seem to find a way to fuck someone else. Results show truth.

bro im sorry, you are an idiot. clearly you aren't much on politics if you think McCain did nothing but "get stuck in a prison camp" but yet Obama has an extensive background, come on dude.  ::)

believe the rhetoric if you wish, just proves you believe what people say without actually stopping to think about it, but im telling you right now there wont be pink unicorns and fluffy cotton candy like all the obama fanboys think.

oh and for your information Hillary, just like Biden and every other democrat told it like it was when they were running for nominee, that Obama has no experience to be commander and chief of this country.

Hillary claimed word for word during her resignation from candidacy that Obama would win this campaign and be our next president of the United States ... what are you saying? This is from an article just about a day ago:
Quote
The long Democratic drama neared an end — and the Obama campaign no doubt heaved a sigh of relief — after rousing speeches on Obama's behalf by the Clintons — Hillary on Tuesday and Bill on Wednesday. They offered unabashed praise for Hillary Clinton's one-time opponent, whom they had sharply criticized during the primary contest.

Apparently we're not on the same page? This is an article that explains what I think:
Quote
For me, all this political speech stuff induces a headache. Over the past 16 years, I have watched President Clinton and President Bush fail to solve the energy problem, the immigration problem, the airline problem, the health care problem, and on and on. Sixteen years is a long time. And we still have many of the same problems we had back in '92. But at this point in American history, I don't believe Barack Obama or John McCain know how to solve the energy problem or the health care problem. And they may not even know how to deal with Pakistan, Iran, and Putin.

If there's anyone here making up bullshit from the back of their heads, it's Adambomb ::)

I understand McCain's been through a lot more than just sitting in a prison or whatever, I made it sound like that was really all he was about. But I'm not going to vote for him. He's old, and he doesn't have this peaceful vibe about him like Obama's all about. If they do find that Obama is not eligible for this then I think they need to pull out some more candidates. Everyone still has a chance.

In all honesty I don't give a shit.

No more bashing, this is not a flaming arena topic.

Of course Hilary thinks that he is going to win he is a democrat. She was so quick to talk shit about him when it was between them two. Now that she has lost she has taken his side. So is Hilary 100% sure Obama is going to win? Is that because just maybe elections are rigged? Plus if your going to vote just to vote then you shouldn't vote. Anyways, this conversation could go on for years and there still would be arguing. That's politics. Some people are narrow minded and some are well informed. What side do you want to be on?

I'd like to be well informed. Tell me what you know. Wtf, voting rigged? They can't rig it. Why would they have people check and double check and triple check and go through so much effort to make sure the voting is done properly? Sure Hillary backtalked Obama lots of times but she is very confident outside of the competition that Obama will win this time around. Besides the fact that McCain is Republican, why would Hillary nominate McCain? Sure, McCain's done a great service for us, just like any other Veteran. But that's about all I see. What do you see?

Who are you voting for and why, Hiv? Or are you voting at all, you're bashing democratic it seems?

Obama reminds me another JFK, a young enthusiastic Man, who really wants to make a difference... I like his energy and I'm sick of the status quo in the white house. I love America, but shes being misled and I'd like to see the reigns passed onto someone who actually knows how many houses he owns, how much milk and gas cost right now, has a real family, and most importantly someone who rose up from the middle class to get where he was... (not just marrying some rich girl, and dumping the girl that stuck by you when you were a POW) These do-nothing, FATHER-SON, FAT CAT presidents that got there because of their financial success that aids them in their billion dollar campaigns are not doing a good job with our economy...and why would they care? they are fine no matter what happens.  I'm giving Obama a shot WE CAN'T BE WORSE OFF. plus JOE BIDEN IS EXTREMELY EXPERIENCED, AND WAS A GREAT CHOICE BESIDES HIS INTERNET POLICIES WHICH WILL NEVER GET PASSED BECAUSE THEY ALL FAILED ANYWAY.

I'm not voting. I bash Obama because everyone thinks he is so perfect but every man has a flaw. I'm not saying McCain is any better I mean Bush backs him up which is not good but I believe that. I don't pick sides but I just call it as I see it. All the things promised I don't fall for. Health care is still shit. We are still at war. Can't stop fucking Mexicans from jumping the border. This is country is more worried about solving other countries problems before it's own. How many homeless people do we have? Yet we have 1000's of acres of golf courses. I don't support the rich which happens to be both Obama and McCain so when Obama put McCain down for having X amount of houses he needs to swallow his words because he is just as rich he just didn't use his money like McCain did. Personally I don't care who goes in office. I just know things won't be as what they seem. Obama makes the American believe that he has a magic wand and will fix everything when he snaps his fingers and McCain has a background that he believes will fix the war so really you just close your eyes and pick one. All a president's purpose is to be a puppet. A mouthpiece from the richer asshole that sign his check. The ones that really run this country. The are behind the scenes. You'll never know their names. I mean look at this example. Dick Cheney shot a man in his face and didn't face any charges. All his had to do is say sorry. In real life if I shot someone in the face I would be seeing four walls and a man named Bubba. Our rights are only privilege's and they can be taken away anytime they want to take them away. If you think you have rights then get on Wikipedia and search for Japanese Americans 1942. You'll find out about your rights there. I pick my presidents like I pick my religion..... OTHER

read my first two post please and respond. I dont think McCain is a perfect candidate, infact hes far from it, but voting for a democrat imo is out of the picture for the reasons I listed in my first two posts, and more.

You know there is a reason why Obama wont debate McCain more then the 3 debates he has to, because when you get down to the issues he will get smoked. Instead he likes to make beautiful speeches and captivate a largely ignorant base. Tell the people what they want to hear.  I swear most people dont stop and think for one second that Obama was in congress for one year before he decided he was going to run for president. What did he do before that? Community activism. I think a couple of us around here might have more experience to lead american then barrack, I nominate Hivmunky.

You also stated in your first post that you liked Obamas ideas. Care to elaborate? If not thats fine.

I accept your nomination and I won't bullshit ya. If I think the country is going to shit, I'll tell ya. LOL
What we need is not a person like Obama. If anybody somebody like Bill Clinton. Sure he got sucked while in office but whatever that happens everyday in America. He kept us from going to war and gas wasn't high and I could afford milk. There wasn't foreclosures on houses and if bullshitting you he would let you know. Yea he lied when asked if he had a relation with Monica but he was trying to save his ass. He is married and he was trying to not get caught. Anyways, Obama picked a white man to back him up. That goes great for the black people. Black man has the white man on a leash. That gives the Black Americans hope that racism against blacks will go away. America is very racist we just try to hide it. I don't mean KKK racist but alot of Americans judge by appearance of skin. It's time for a change! A empty slogan just like God bless america. I mean why would God only bless america? Favoritism? Boredom? Amusement? I mean it's on our money in America. Not every believes in God and he does not decide what happens in this country. God given rights? Why would God give different people in different countries different number of different rights? Bad arithmetic? Doesn't sound like divine planning to me. Sounds like human planning. Now I've gotten off track but I hope you see my point.

ultra you do realize that the only reason the economy was so good during clintons administration was because of the .com boom, and theres also the fact that it left out all the other democratic presidents during downfalls of the economy:

"During Carter's administration, the economy suffered double-digit inflation, coupled with very high interest rates, oil shortages, high unemployment and slow economic growth."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Carter

Point is, not one main controls the economy, the people control the economy. Want lower gas prices? Stop buying gas, price and demand.

He is the democrat who is the farthest to the left which could have been nominated....
obscenely liberal...

has any of you done any 'homework' on him?!?!?  Or are you just drinkin the 'change' kool-aid???

Does anyone really think that an extremest to either side is the correct answer???

I admit that i do not like McCain, but i will vote for him just to keep the most liberal senator ever out of office...

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot... over

What is the primary job of the president?  Commander and Chief... who would you rather have as the Commander and Chief of the strongest military force in the world??   'nuff said

yea I agree stop wasting time by driving around. Kids can't sleep? Don't drive them around till they fall asleep. Go on less vacations and start walking a little more. This country could use a little bit of exercise. a little on the big side. No matter what side, you still get the bullshit. One side will tell you how much they are better than the other side. Every 4 years it's the same thing. Our country is getting worst. The people don't help out the situation. They want to max out their credit cards and go into debt. NO wonder our health care sucks. We gotta use all the damn money in our budget to pay back all these company's where people just didn't pay them. Sure the consumer gets bad credit but somewhere money has to be paid. No company is going to fuck themselves out of money. So they write it off and the government gives it to them. Now for as much shit I gotta say about America, I like living here so don't get me wrong. I just wish we had the freedoms we USED to have. Anyways, I keep getting off subject.... McCain will want to stay in war and so will Obama. It's about money. Do you really think they give a fuck about the soldiers? If so then they would have never went over there in the first place. Obama says he will stop getting foreign oil and go after our own resources. So we are just going to stop exchanging with rest of the world and isolate ourselves like ignorant assholes? We import and export because that is how business is run. NO matter who the jack off is, they will not FIX anything. at least not with these two

If there's anyone here making up bullshit from the back of their heads, it's Adambomb ::)
I made up the fact that bush is the worst president in the history of america, nay nay the worst leader in the history of the world.  No I didnt.
I made up the fact that whilst both bushes were in office we lost record amounts of money and while Clinton was in office we had a surpluss?  No I didnt.
I made up the fact that since Bush junior was given his presidency America has went from 24th to 60th in education as a country?  No I didnt.
I made up the fact that under Bushes control we have record low employment rates and during Clintons term we had realy good employment rates?   No I didnt.
How about GAS? did I make up those prices?  Bush runs big oil, hes all about big oil, and if you think the prices are high for any other reason you just might be certifiable. and if you think Bush went to war with Iraq to fight terrorists or to free the country, You are most deffinitely certifiable.
Not one thing Ive stated about them has been bullshit. NOT ONE.

and what about Obama and mccain?  All ive realy said about those two is Mccain sounds like a jackass and is too fucking old, and Obama while he sounds like he knows his shit, Hes just good at hiding the bullshit.  I have produced a very reasonable arguement as far as bush goes.

and then the whole voting thing...... thats an illusion, the machines are rigged, and if you write in guess what there doing now..... here in washington there is a controversy brewing now because many write ins were thrown out cause there signatures didnt match the signatures they registered...... yeah thats not a setup.  weve all seen the multiple screwings over the last 8 years as far as voting goes.
and saying that voting for some independant is standing for something is just retarded.  its not standing for anything except screwing the only two choices out of a vote.  NOBODY ON INDEPENDANT WILL EVER BE PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!! NO NOT HIM EITHER!!!!!!!!!   AND NO RON PAUL WILL NOT BE PRESIDENT!!!!!!! NO HE WONT!!!!! NOT NOW AND NOT EVER!!!!!!!!   SORY TO BREAK IT TO YOU!  SAME GOES WITH GREEN PARTY OR ANY OTHER JACKASS PARTY, THERE ALL WASTES OF VOTES SIMPLE AS THAT!  EITHER VOTE FOR THE REPUBLITARD OR THE DEMITARD, ANYTHING ELSE IS USELESS!    have a good day folks.

Yes you did. I know everybody likes to blame high gas prices on bush, but its the consumers fault. Its price and demand, dont like it? Dont buy it, they raise the prices because we pay it.

(Applauds Adam)

All this talk about politics is kinda making me feel ill. Spreading the truth takes alot out of ya. Then there are people out there who are afraid to know the truth so they yammer on like they know what they are talking about. Look if you don't know what your talking about then don't join the conversation. Politics is a serious and intelligent conversation. Back your comments or don't comment at all. So far I find this debate to be quite intense and inspiring. Good job everyone even those who like Obama. See what I did? I pulled a McCain. I praised the other side to make me look better LOL
