yea but there are some things out there that are amazing that people do and they don't go to the Olympics. They go on Youtube. The Olympics is more of a richer form of displaying talent just like how American Idol is only directed towards certain types of music. I will agree tho that alot of those do have talent and can do things I can't do but it's vise versa. I can do things that they can't do I'm sure. Just like some doctors may be really smart and know all about the field they are in but may lack social skills

Well it's IN China so they want to make sure they do things PERFECTLY. For some reason USA blows with their performances in Diving (that's the only example I can think of). Swimming they're great thanks to Phelps. Baseball and softball? lol ... isn't there golf and volleyball? How do they figure out the teams for those games anyways ...

I love diving. That's the only thing I ever happen to see when it's on

but it's great to see these people perform awesome dives. I dunno how they do it.

When the Greeks held the Olympics, music and drama competitions were just as important as sports. They believed that our minds and bodies are one, and theres no point exercising one without the other. Kind of makes you realize how devolution has really taken effect through the ages.
