Dreamcast lightgun trouble

I have two dreamcast lightguns... one is the european model (which I now.. know won't work on many U.S games) and the MadKats gun... I can't get the MadKats gun to work on House of the Dead II... When I shoot, the screen just flickers white....

I'm not sure if it is my tv.. because my Saturn and genesis lightguns work fine...

did I buy a bum gun?

What kind of tv do you have. Light guns don't like flat screens LCD or plasma screens. But I guess since your other gun works then it's just a bum gun.
