Get a projector! I have a 106" and it cost me around $950 on amazon.
Its a Mitsubishi HD1000u 720p/1080i..you want about 16' of floorspace. It only takes a couple of minutes for your eyes to adjust using the xbox360 lol ........

I want a 1080p projector.  And the side of a house to play it on, right by a pool, so I can play hi-def Street Fighter while I'm sitting in a lounger with a Mark N' Coke and a wireless controller, among other things.

I think that once I get this accomplished, I'm good for a bit.

I have a 1440*900 monitor and 4*3 pictures look squished, a 2880*900 monitor will display everything like crap.
