Jebus, I bought GH2 and a guitar yesterday, didnt play til this morning, shit this game is addicting. My brother in law talks shit constantly about how stupid the game is cause the controller is nothing like a real guitar and then he finaly plays it, and after about 10 songs asks my sister to buy another guitar and GH 1 and 3 so she is at toys getting that now.

I hate guitar hero. I've played it alot, and I play an actual guitar. I hate it when everybody says "dude, you should be good at GH because you play guitar." I would really like it if you could plug in a real guitar though. That would be fun as hell.

My opinion about Guitar Hero is that its a fun game and anyone who says it's like a real guitar is an idiot, and anyone who plays guitar and says the game is stupid doesn't understand the point of the game. The point of the game is to create an extremely accessible way to let the average joe feel like a rock star. Whether that be in the comfort of his or her home...or with friends...or at a bar competition. Guitar Hero has done more for real rock music in the past three years than any single band has in a long time.

No, scratch that, it sounds as though you're insinuating that a plastic controller shaped like a guitar is more important for "real rock music" than actually learning to play the real thing. Did you actually SEE the guitar hero south park episode? It speaks the truth.

Anyone who wants to play music, by all means, pick up guitar hero and play the shit out of it. But if you really want to play and you never take the time to learn a real instrument, you're pretty fucking retarded.
