New to Segahub...but not to Saturn
« on: October 28, 2007, 04:18:21 PM »
Hello,
I am an old Sega junkie who grew up with Sega game systems, and my console of choice out of any ever released to this day (even current-gen), is the Sega Saturn. :D
I have also become very familiar with hacking the Saturn hardware, and I have done quite a few things to my own saturn to make it unique.

Out of frustration of losing video cables, and my disgust with both RF and Composite outputs, I created my own output port standard (That which I call AUV), and I make my own AUV-port cables to interface the Saturn with Commodore Amiga RBG monitors (And my god, I nearly crapped myself when I saw how clear the picture now is).

These are very fascinating consoles, and I didn't get one until long after they were considered "dead".

Now, I just seek to find more games for it. :P

Welcome to segahub. Funny you should mention hacking the AV on a saturn them 10 pin dins are imposible to find so i solderd sewing needles to a scart cable it worked but the image was crap my next option was to ad an alternative port but then i noticed how cheap the scart leads are on ebay so i decided not to bother.

All RF leads are simple to hack into composit tho
