I have an NTSC dreamcast, but it plays (burned copies of) Pal games fine on my parents' bigscreen TV once I changed the Video Region setting on the TV from NTSC to Auto-Detect or Pal (I started keeping it on Auto-Detect for obvious ease-of-use reasons) Now that I've got an older TV that doesn't have Pal support, the same copies of the same games used on the same dreamcast get the correct sound with the totally distorted image, and this past weekend I brought it back to my parents house to try it again and they still work correctly on the bigscreen with PAL support. Not only that, I got a DVD Player with both NTSC and PAL support to play movies I import from England, and even with the DVD Player, I get the sound and that same distorted video as on the dreamcast, but I use a program from SlySoft called AnyDVD that not only removes the copy protection, but I can convert PAL DVDs into NTSC Burned copies that work perfectly on any regular DVD player at all on my older TV. So, basically, I need to know if there's a way to convert the PAL format of a dreamcast game into an exact copy that's in NTSC format... because, if so, you could easily convert Europe-only (or PAL-only) releases into US formats (even though on the market they don't exist) like you can with DVDs. I'm sure it's possible, I guess I just want to know if there's a program or a patcher out there that does it, because so far all I've found is a website that offers patches for several specific games that convert NTSC games to PAL format, but not the other way around. Sorry if that's a confusing question, thanks so much to anybody who actually spent the time to read that and wanted to help, despite whether or not they knew how. I appreciate it. In the meantime, if I find something myself, I'll be sure to post the details.
