hahahaha at nintendo fanboys. i went on reddit back in january to talk about what i liked and didn't like about the switch and they weren't having it!1111 zelda is very good once you start to become powerful, ive almost finished it on wii u. id love to buy the switch but i would need the pro controller and fuck 370 bucks is too much considering i will probably never play it portable. eventually ill have to buy one though

I personally feel like the pro controller is more of an optional accessory than people make it out to be. The included controller dock for the joycons isn't the most comfortable controller but you can also play with one joycon in each hand and just spread out, which feels extremely nice to me.
I tend to play it more in handheld mode with netflix on the tv. Multitasking I guess, or maybe just ADD. :D
And yeah, the switch subreddit is ridiculous. Herd mentality.

Yeah not having a traditional d pad is lame but the buttons work all right once you get used to them.

callmesir was your switch 299 plus tax? every online retailer like amazon or walmart are all selling the switch for like 340 or more plus
tax. it might be cheaper to buy it in a store? this new mario game is making it hard not to own one now FUCK!

Yeah mine was $299, I guess that price must be online only (I assumed that was a bundle price till I looked on walmart.com, very odd). I've only seen splatoon bundles in the store, and even then they seem to sell out quick.
I am pretty pumped for odyssey, it looks awesome!

this message isnt about the switch but rather the wii. my launch wii with 10 hundred thousand hours of use was having video out problems. turns out 6 capacitors in my wii went bad. i twisted those 6 bad caps off and soldered some new ones in. since i had my entire wii taken apart i also bought a new shell from aliexpress:

this launch wii is now working like new and it looks kewl!

Damn, that is a cool housing! It’s getting difficult to find housings for old consoles these days, even on aliexpress. Been trying to find a specific PSP camo that used to be fairly popular and had no luck.

Also got an Odin pro, awesome emulation device.

I’m kind of addicted to handhelds so probably. That said, Nintendo and their lawyers are a bunch of pricks!

nintendo is pretty strict/efficient with their business. i never liked how quickly they close down servers to their online games!

i guess my complaining doesn't matter too much though, i vote with my dollars and im buying the switch 2 regardless so they're still winning lulz!

I haven’t been too impressed with what ive seen so far. It looks pretty uncomfortable in handheld mode, and it’s huge. I never pay for the online stuff so i’d be missing out on a lot of new features, I don’t like the idea of higher game prices becoming standardized either, and I don’t really like how sue happy Nintendo is. Charging money for their system tutorial game is wack.
I feel like after initial success it’s going to flop like the wii u and get a nice 3ds style price drop. If that happens I might buy it.
Do you like yours?

im liking it a lot. im only docked mode with switch so as a home console the switch 2 is a fairly huge step up from switch 1. when you see TOTK or BOTW on your big ass tv running at flawless 60fps in 1440p its pretty shocking at first! my first play through of BOTW was on wii u and that was sometimes sub 720p with a consistent crappy framerate. also switch 2 does what the ps5 did with backwards compatibly where if a game targets 60fps/30fps but cant maintain on the original console the new console brute forces it into a perfect framerate. the monkey ball game on switch last year couldn't even run locked 60fps on the original switch, with no update its perfect framerate on switch 2!111

the pro controller is noticeably nicer too. with tax i paid 94 dollars for mine which is fuckin steep but the controller is better! when you see mario kart with 24 players and everything is going nuts its clearly something that couldn't run on switch 1.

also some games look better on switch 2 than on xbox series s. street fighter and cyberpunk have better image quality than series s. heres some cyberpunk gameplay:

https://www.youtube.com/live/pfR9k_rKjbg?si=CAofesl8HQKJtIR6&t=35647

the switch 2 is basically a big ass cell phone so im super impressed with this thing! its a proper generation leap compared to switch 1. going from wii u to switch 1 wasnt that exciting for me hardware wise but this thing is making me excited for the future!

callmesir if you're stanky rich...... ummmmm... YOU SHOULD BUY ONE!1111 I THINK YOU WOULD LIKE IT!11 DONKEY KONG NEXT MONTH!!11
