SGDK collision help
« on: November 02, 2016, 09:19:10 AM »
Yea, um, I don't quite understand how to do collision in SGDK, and I seen Kaneda's (spritesmind)but it didn't really help me too much, and he will be validating me soon he said on twitter, but I just need a better understanding exactly how to implement it into say the sonic example that comes with SGDK or any future project with collision with tiles, and other enemy sprites, action object like to press C to open door's, collect power ups etc, any good code example's? perhaps someone can please create a guide with using SGDK in general from simple tiles to a bit complex such as npc's etc perhaps even saving to a sram?

any help to just get collision in it for now, would be great!

Thanks, a bunch in advance.

oh yea an, I've been pulling my hair out for days trying to figure it out.
I looked every where...

Just wanted to respond so you don't think you're being ignored; I'm not sure that anyone currently on this board has experience with SGDK. I've messed around with BasiEgaXorz a bit, but not enough to help with anything in that either. If you ever happen to have any Unity questions I'll try to help though.  ;D

Nah it's all good man, I finally had my account approved over at spritesmind.net, and they help me with this some.

I created a MegaDrive Wiki on my website to try to have some sort of place to have centralized info for this console, Feel free to add what ever(related to the megadrive/genesis) after you make an account and then confirm your email address, (this is to prevent spammers, evidently there was two others meant for the megadrive/genesis, but fell victim to spammers. I guess nobody bothered to setup email confirmation/preventing accountless people from editing, lolz) http://mdwiki.virtualpython.com/

Excuse the quite bare it is right now, but I'll be adding more to it as I learn more to develop on this system, and or find other sources of info/ help to add to the Wiki.
