yo what up dude bruhs, im back one year after i gave this forum its greatest thread of all time. i have some not so shocking developments in my quest for sonic cd with its japanese soundtrack here in the states.

as im sure your all aware this is coming out in the next few weeks http://www.1up.com/news/sonic-cd-port-headed-xbla-psn-ios-pc-android-windows-phone

while this is a far cry from my original wish of playing the japanese game on real us sega hardware, this will have to do for now. while it isnt ultimate victory, it will include the japanese soundtrack as well as improved graphics and probably trophies and all that kewl stuff. i will probably bump this thread once i download it for dat triple and cry tears of joy.

also in the near future i will be buying an everdrive flash cart for my genesis, one feature the ever drive provides is region free bios for sega cd. once i own one of those bad boys i will probably bump this shit again!111 heres a link to dat ever drive http://stoneagegamer.com/everdrive_deluxe.aspx

EVERYONE BUY TEH SONIC!11111111111111

hey bruhs. since this forum is mostly dead ill keep it short. i bought sonic cd for the ps3 and its basically been a dream come true. heres what you get for 5 bucks

full game with selectable usa or japanese soundtracks
3 different graphic filters and 16/9 ratio
time trial
leader boards
trophies
extras like jukebox and other kewl things
tails is now playable

for 5 bucks every sonic/sega fan on the planet should own this bad boy. this release is so proper i will probably discontinue my search for jap sonic cd and just be happy with this one, GO BUY IT!111111111

p.s. for extra authenticity i pwn with one of these, which the ps3 supports!

Awesome post! I found out a while back that the ps3 worked with any pc pad, never even thought of something like this though!

8 hours? Damn dude, slow internet?
It is pretty sad around these forums lately. VasiliyDC posts news whenever he finds it too, but I definitely know what your talking about.

sorry for the biggest bump in the history of the world but i bought the mega everdrive pro from krikzz last year and finally i was able to play japanese sonic cd on real hardware. its funny getting used to the re-releases of sonic cd and then playing on real hardware the framerate is all over the place, especially on the special stages. still super awesome though.

sonic cd is in my top 5 of all time.

That’s awesome man, I wish I’d gone for the pro instead of the x5! Did you try the Doom port?

is there a genesis only port of doom? or a sega cd only version of doom? i played an enhanced 32x version in the last few years but not a genesis/cd only. the enhanced 32x rom is waaay better than the real 32x version!

Yeah man, I believe it uses the fpga core, so it only works on the pro.

The Wolfenstein 3D port is awesome too, runs on native hardware. Highly recommend.
