chipped gamecube value?
« on: March 01, 2010, 06:58:05 AM »
my girlfriend decided she wanted to play our gamecube more, so i ordered a chip for it.
we've been wanting a wii, but can't really afford it.
i was thinking that if a chipped gc is worth something, maybe i could sell it and get a used wii, since they can play gc games.

would anyone be interested in a modded gamecube? if not, does anyone know what its worth?

I would if i didn't already have a gamecube. That's a fair price.

this is still hypothetical considering i haven't even received the chip in the mail yet.

i intend to install that and get it working with burned discs, then order one of those sd card to gc memory card adaptors so it can be used with the action replay (if i can figure it out).

there won't be any case mods and only the action replay disc will be necessary. i found a rom for AR 114c. anyone know if this is the right action replay for my intentions?

well, my money was refunded from the site i ordered the chip. i'm assuming it was out of stock.

i think i'll also order a stealth chip for the psone. i have a couple, so i'll order two chips if anyone is interested in buying the other psone once i've installed the chip...

unless someone can suggest a chip for my fat ps2 that will allow me to play psx games.

You don't really need to use a modchip, google mcboot, it hacks the ps2 through the memory card. Thats what I use, it works great.

Sort of funny, I just thought the same thing to myself yesterday and bought a modbo 4. A friend of mine is handling the soldering though.
