A way to read textbooks online?
« on: August 23, 2007, 08:21:44 PM »
My books haven't been delivered yet and our teacher's already asking us to do exercises from the book  :-*

Is there a website online where I can look at the book in like a pdf file or something? I'm looking for a book that I can read online called Introduction to Engineering Technology (6th Edition) by Pond ... so it would be great if I could have that lol .......

There is a tracker called textbook torrents somewhere.

SERIOUSLY!?  I knew there had to be something like that.  That IS AWESOME.

I'm so sick of spending $150 per textbook, this is insane.

EDIT:  Crap.  They don't have any of MY textbooks.  Looks like I'm out a fortune again.

The gov't anti-trust lawyers need to start beating down these college textbook companies.

Dude, the college textbook trade is a RACKET.  They put out a new edition with ONE new picture or preface, and all of a sudden a used book isn't the one you need.  Therefore, it keeps the bookstores open to sell new, but keeps them just poor enough to not make any profit off of used materials that aren't being used in the current semester's curriculum.
