half life 2 episode 3
« on: March 13, 2009, 02:03:08 AM »
Half Life 2 was one of the best games i've played on PC since Doom, & after the release of the orange box a while back, i've been eagerly awaiting the release of episode 3. don't quote me on this, but i'm almost certain it's been almost two years since the release of T.O.B. I've just found out that ep.3 might not get a release 'til next bleeding year!!! :-X :-X Does anyone else feel the same way i do? maybe we should all get together & send a letter to valve & tell them to get their ass in gear & release the feckin' thing  ::) ::)

NFS would be fine if theyd stay with the nfs formula instaid of trying to make them sim games. and have more decent american and german cars and less shitty jap cars.

need for speed went belly up atfer the release of underground 1 & 2 (not a big fan of those) but they made up for it with most wanted. but at the end of the day, they're starting to take the piss by releasing one nfs after another. it's as if EA can't think of anything else, just like so many developers. all we seem to get is sequel after bloody sequel!! the last original game i played was bioshock. even valve managed to think of something original with portal. why can't other developers do the same??  ??? ???

yes i quite agree with you.i never enjoyed underground 1,2 but most wanted was nice a return to form for the series.then they came up with the abominaion that was called carbon and things never looked good after that.as far as other games go.i really wanna see some new ip's from the devs rather than countless sequels of the same games.sure its a good thing to have sequels but you cant just have the same games over and over again can you

I thought that carbon was one of the best and that most wanted was irritating with all the police aggravating shit.

We can all agree that ProStreet is the AIDS though...

I agree with elite, Carbon was the best out of any of them. I didnt give most wanted a fair shot I guess cause I played for about half an hour and thought the game blew nuts, and it wasnt the police either.

In it you would spend 30 minutes racing then about 90 minutes trying to get the police riled up and hating you enough that you could move onto the next 30 minutes of racing.

iam just gonna say this.imo nfs  had a long run, some good, some great, some a WTF were they thinking? As soon as Need For Speed added "story" to the games, it was all down-hill from there. The last decent game was Most Wanted, and the last great NFS was Hot Pursuit 2. Just like Pro Skater, NFS needs time off. but after that new trailer i have some hopes for it after all

Exactly!! It's got to the stage where most developers keep churning out the same shit every year, but with a "brand new feature" EA are the main culprits for this  ::), with nfs & FIFA. Don't get me wrong, I love football games (not the management sims..they're crap) There's another one..SIMS. God I hate the Sims  :-X life can be difficult enough without having to recreate it in a video game. Shit..vodka's goin' to my head..getting into thinking mode. joking aside, some great points have been made recently. End of the day, sequels aren't always a bad thing, but more originality in games would be nice.  ;D ;D ;D
