Just got a blue DS phat and an R4DS, both in transit via mail for about $60. Any comments or suggestions, anything I should prepare myself for before opening this bad boy and playin a bunch of games? Like is it as easy as drag and drop and you're good? Will I have to update the firmware or something when I get it? Thanks in advance guys!

R4's main problem is that it's no longer being "officially" updated.  If you ever want to get a newer flashcart that still is being supported with new firmware and stuff, go with a CycloDS.  A little expensive, but well worth it.  I love mine, and if you get a EZ Flash V 3 in 1, you can play GBA games without having to prepatch them.  the Cyclo is $47 shipped from realhotstuff.com  and they ship FAST!

I suggest the Acekard 2, owned a few of them thus far, they are really cheap and supports everything any other card does :P

ive had and r4ds for a while now and its a great card its easy to use and it still hasnt fucked on me like some of the other cards. just make sure to get a kingston sd card cause i heard it loads stuff faster than some of the other sds with the r4ds.

Sweet, I do have a kingston actually, thanks bro! They just shipped it today ::) I figured they'd get around to it the day after I had paid for it but oh well, it's all good.
