You know I like Sony, but a modded PS3 would be tits.
The cheapest blu ray burner I can find is over $200 though.

How the hell did the guy plan that out? I mean from that distance he could have been pinching a man boob and not have known otherwise.
By the way retro, I'm using Vista. It came on my new laptop and I can't find all the drivers I need to install XP, so for the time being I'm stuck with it. Truth be told, I'd rather be on Win 98 than anything else. Since then we've sacrificed actual control for ease of use.
In '98 you could reboot to dos. Not even an option anymore. I totally get Microsoft's point of view on that, they want a product that everyone can use. But I want to have total control of my PC.
Of course it isn't M$'s fault that HP doesn't supply drivers for XP, but I do blame them for not supporting XP anymore and feeding us all this bullshit about how problem free Vista is.

lol, to be honest, there is no advantage nowadays of booting to dos, other then the commands being in a different form. You gain no extra low level abilities that you can't access via the gui.

98 was pretty sweet, but XP is just that much better (what with plug and play driver support)

I've got a few friends with HP lappys, its funny that they don't support xp anymore, maybe they really took a hit when vista rolled around?

My biggest gripe is speed, but other than that I really don't care to elaborate. These discussions go on and on, I don't want to get into it. Suffice it to say then, that I don't care for Vista, it's just a personal opinion.

I dual boot vista and XP, and its been my personal experience, Vista runs faster on everything from games to internet to video, Ive had not a single compatability issue with it, I have with XP, Xp is ok with plug and play, but vista dominates, if the drivers arent on it, it finds them and downloads them without even asking me.
I still like XP but I do feel vista is to XP what XP was to 98, a good upgrade.

Thank you, glad someone else is saying it too.  If you run Vista on an older computer, it will be slow.  But on a current computer it's very snappy.

what was so bad about Windows: Mistake Edition? all it seemed to me that it was windows 98 with a windows 2000 GUI. I like Windows Vista since it can play DVD's in windows media player, make dvd movies, and I think the GUI looks much better than XP or 9x.

ME I had on one computer for about three months, it crashed constantly, more than any OS Ive ever had, plug and play was actualy as bad as 95, nearly non existant. nothing ran correctly, it was truely awful.

This is what I'm saying! Anyone remember DOSshell? It was DOS with a graphic interface, that was the best, back on my IBM 386.
