damn i've been looking for ones of these for a while, and now I've got a copy. Its the Xbox version though, but that doesnt matter. I'm still going to keep my eyes peeled for the DC version too, just for the good voice acting. Anyways I found it when I was digging through the rentals at my local Blockbuster, and I found the game hidden away in completly the wrong section, the price tag was 15$ so I thought that that wasnt that bad. So I go to pay for it and it turn out that the price tag was ancient and that the real price was now $7.99

after seeing the DC copies for $45 (canadian equivelent), this feels damn good. No more missing free quest speech. yay.

I also managed to snag a copy of samurai showdown 5 for the same price too

I love it when I go to blockbuster and the best games to get for any system are the cheapest!

I got Shenmue 2 for xbox and totally loved it, the graphics were amazing. It was annoying though at the start with that lil boy that takes your bag and makes you chase after him ... that's so middle school!

my rip of shenmue 2 has free quest speech

i just heard the voice acting of the xbox version once. i wouldn only play that with muted sound

Shenmue 2 for DC?
I have that on a DVD somewhere.

I know i have the xbox version on my xbox's HDD o.o

I havent actually played my X-box version yet, because I'm in the midle of a game of shenmue 2 on the DC. But being able to speak to people and actually hear the vioce will be a great novelty even if its horrible voice acting.

By any chance does your rip fit on a CD-R? or is it one of those rips uncompressed rips that doesnt fit on CD-Rs but is really good for emulators?

of course it does fit on cd-r. only on 99min discs, but still. i already tested it on my dc and it works like a charm. disc 1 is 95min big, but could be brought down to 91 min if you kicked out all additional languages and emu-games. thats enough to get it fit on an overburned 90min disc. disc 2 and 3 would still need 99min discs though

Hmmm, its too dab no where around me sells CDR that are 90min, let alone 99min. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

hmm, strange that 90min discs are so rare over at yours. you can get them here in any shop. only 99 or 100min discs are hard if not impossible to find. why don't you order some online? also, do you know how far your drive can burn? several go only to 94:59, some go higher, some lower

not sure how far my drive can go, over the past 2 years I've had 3 different drives. My first on coult go up to 99:59, but not sure about my current though.

use your first one then. i burn all my 99min rips with a 6 year old drive. it's reliable and can also go up to 99:59. it also supports slow burning speeds which is crucial for overburning discs that much

slight problem, my first CD is broken. unfortunatly. Every disk I try to burn with it is covered in errors when i go to read it. I'm going to have to check if my currrent drive does 99:59, I'll google the modle # or something.

good idea. there are compatibility lists for 99min capability out there. they cover more older burners though. some hints for your old burner:

get the newest firmware update and use newer versions of nero or discjuggler. don't use alcohol.

My From what I've found, my Lg GSA-4167b (newer CD drive) can read 99min, but can over burn to 94-95 min, not really sure if that means they are using 90 min or 99 min.
