I managed to download all the oRAR's and extracted them until I had a CDI. I've been trying to burn it using both Alcohol 120% and Discjuggler, but it gives me errors and says there's something wrong with the structure.  I'm burning at lowest speeds and such.  Can anybody confirm?

Broken links fixed in Jun 12, 2011.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Dream Resurrection

Dream Resurrection or DCRES is a project maintained by TuxTheWise. The goal is making high quality releases, caring about dummy (faster loadings), file order (GD or custom that makes loadings faster and reader noise quieter), downsampling (the best quality with available space) and selfboot. Please always see readme files of each game, they always have important information. Feedback? Suggestions? Problems? Fell free to send a PM.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (NTSC-U)
---------------------------------
Ripped: Nothing.
Downsampled: Ambient sounds monoized; videos re-encoded.
Source: Echelon's release (oRARs) and european GD dump.

After finally getting the european GDI of this game, I spent a lot of time trying to make it work.
Unfortunately I couldn't because this game has some kind of protection. Even the LBA 45000 trick
didn't work. Well, so I got Echelon's release. Their release is of the american version, but
fortunately the files are pratically the same of the european. So, using their release as base, I
restaured the original media (stereo song and untouched video), and shrinking the AFS files space
was enough.

Well, the first problem appeared. In this game, loadings (the doors opening scenes) are made while
ambient sound/music is playing. With the original media (stereo), the game was not able to stream
data fast enough in the CD and sometimes music got annoying freezes during gameplay. Even moving
the sound files to the end of the disc ("faster" area), streaming speed was not fast enough. The
solution for that was monoizing the ambient sounds, so data rate for sounds got lower and streaming
speed was enough. Everything got working fine and the first problem was solved. Note that only
stereo ambient sounds were changed, other sounds got intact.

Second problem was about the videos. Streaming speed for them was not enough because they were
encoded in a very high bitrate. It means that videos got annoying short freezes while playing. So
I used VBR and re-encoded them in the same bitrate. As their real frame rate was choppy,
compression was very effective, solving the problem. Additionally, as source was encoded in a
very high bitrate, re-encoding quality loss was minimal. I played them side by side, the original
and the re-encoded videos and I couldn't notice any difference in quality. Note that sound of
video got untouched. Also note that although the source used for the videos were files of the
european version, they were originally 30fps, not 25fps as I expected, so nothing was lost.

I have deleted some useless files too, including browser files (why were they there? This game does
not have internet feature), added a nice dummy file and used a very optimized custom file order,
based on the GD one. You'll get surprised with the loading times and with the lack of noise of
Dreamcast reader while you play the game.

This is another high quality release that I'm making for you, so be happy and hope that I don't
lose my will to keep working on Dreamcast. Have fun.

Features of my release:
- Not corrupted files at all, it was made with GD dump files and Echelon's release oRARs.
- Dummied for 700mb CDs. It means faster loading times.
- Used custom file order based on GD's. It helps loading times and Dreamcast reader noise.
- Better quality on media than other releases.
- Selfboot.

About the game:
- It has VGA Box support.

Other comments:
- "Extras" folder in the pack contains some useless stuff.
- Release comes with manual and covers.

Extracting files:
Use 7-zip. For unpacking the RAR files inside archive, you can use WinRAR.

Burning files:
Alcohol 120% probably can burn all extensions, but I recommend Disc Juggler for CDI files.
