Currently Playing:
* Geist (GC)
* Kameo: Elements of Power (X360)
* Guitar Hero II (PS2)
* Crush (PSP)

Crush is compelling and rather difficult, but Geist is kinda slow.  Kameo is beautiful (like everything else from Rare) but the controls are pretty broken.

It's kinda sad, RARE hasn't made a really good game since they left Nintendo.

Back to Gears... Again.  Plus some God of War II, although that is almost done.  I'm hoping to be playing Rez HD by Wed.

Damn straight you will.  You're a smart guy, I never doubted you for a second.

Now as for some other folks I know....they may require some....convincing.  I'm going off on the world at large - I'm treating spreading the word of Rez as if I became a Baptist preacher for Mizuguchi-san.  :P

Ah yes, great game.

At the moment I'm into Bioshock.  Excellent atmosphere and such, but about halfway through things start to get a little dull.  I was also a little miffed that the "horror" tone set in the first act is kind of forgotten shortly there after.

I don't know, once you get to the real meat of who you are as a character (in Bioshock), that's pretty fucking scary to me.

Sort of, plus what happens after Ryan also didn't help.  Honestly the game could have ended earlier but I don't want to say too much more in case of spoilers.

Don't get me wrong Bioshock is a well thought out FPS and playing on hard forces you to play it smart, use the tonics/plasmids to your advantage, trap up the Big Daddies, hack everything, use the enviroment against groups of baddies and even use a smidge of stealth too.

Eh the AI in Bioshock was sub par, there were glitchy ways to get around a lot of the fighting (not that I'd do anything like that :P) and you really had to go out of your way to hear any creepy dialog.

i started to lose interest after the Ryan part, mainly because i was being rushed, and didnt really have the freedom to explore at my own pace (i killed little sisters if that had anything to do with it) because of the health thing

I liked Echoes over the first one, jury is still out on Corruption unitl I finish it.

The thing with Bioshock's story is that it's mostly told through thoes damn tapes and radios while still in real-time, so god forbid a baddy finds while listening.

You can listen to them in the inventory screen reserved for them, that's what I always did.

I saved all the little sisters - but I have no reason to go and play the game again, that's for sure.  And so I shan't, methinks.

Oh, and Devil May Cry 4 ain't bad at all, especially when you get past using Nero and get into using Dante.  Nero isn't as bad as a Raiden, per se, but just as the young punk who stole Metal Gear away from Snake - Nero can't compare to the original gangsta, but even though that's the case, at least he's not as whiny and unbearable as Raiden was.  Nero is pretty cool, and this is coming from a guy that gets tired of hearing Jonny Yong Bosch in every game/anime/whatever I happen to come across (which may not be the case, granted, but it sure feels like it).
