is this a 2 disc game? just both part 1 & part 2 are the same thing

No, its one file split into 2 parts, you then merge them with winrar when you extract

i only unrar'ed part 1 & burnt it, works fine. didnt even open up file 2

that´s because when you unpack file #1 winrar joins the 2 files together if they are in the same folder
