Utopia/DC-X files are rubbish. help!

I am trying to get a reliable import boot disc and so far I have nothing.
I downloaded Utopia from this site, but when I try to play my import game (Street Fighter 2X) it starts off fine, the intro and the menus are all good but when the game starts it slooooooows down. maybe to 1/12 the original speed. it's awful.

I still have my gameshark which boots up imports but the memory card that is required likes to not work most of the time. I'm just looking for something more convenient.

is there some magic trick to making this work fully? help!
