Title: help with Chankast...
Post by: pierini1 on July 23, 2018, 07:07:57 PM
Hello,
i am using CHANKAST as sega dreamcast emulator.
I downloaded a rom named Sega Tetris (Japan).zip and, after i unzipped it, it showed me 4 rom files named:
Sega Tetris (Japan) - [V1.006].gdi
track01.bin
track02.raw
track03.bin

Chankast emulator only allows to run isos on CD drive.
Now, i need to know how to play this rom because i can not load .gdi files on DAEMON TOOLS....
I mean, how do i run these 4 files shown above on Chankast emulator ?
Bye.

A GDI is an image of a GD Rom, a pressed dreamcast disc, rather than a CDI which is an image that fits on a CDR.

Have you tried just renaming it .CDI? I have never used chankast and not used daemon tools in years.

Replying to this 6 year old post to say dont be using Chankast these days. Its ancient (even was in 2017/2018).

Redream is probably the best DC emulator on pc currently. Next there Flycast which Retroarch uses, its good but make sure to change the alpha sorting to most accurate instead of fastest to fix the gfx glitches.
