not really Mortal Kombat reached its peak for me at 2 after that it just got bloated and to be honest ive always been more of a Marvel fan than DC but Batmans cool

Its weird, I actually hope they reduce the blood in this game, I don't like seeing some of my favorite super heroes get decapitated and all that :<
Not excited though, its too strange of a combination.

you all know for the most part Im a mortal kombat nutjob, I cant stand most of the street fighter games because its the same game now that it was in street fighter 2, add one or two features and a bunch of shitty fighters. the game was tired before street fighter 3 came out. but were talking about a game franchise that in my eyes has done little wrong as far as the actual fighters go, the newer games may not be as great as soul calibur 4 and maybe VF5 but they have done a good job of being prety good 3d fighters, something you cant say about street fighter, the last 3d sf I played sucked balls, even the reveiwers thought it did.
but this new mortal kombat I realy think will dissapoint. Maybe its the addition of bad superheroes, maybe its the idea of taking fatalities out of the game, WTF! I dont give a shit about a superhero getting decappitated or rammed into a bunch of spikes. What are they pussies? batman cant handle getting dominated by Sub Zero cause hes a bitch that got lucky cause of some over rated actor dieing cause he was to stupid and weak minded to understand he was playing a fucking character and kills himself so now he has the highest selling movie of all time? At the very least there should be an option to turn them on. then theres the whole thing that there generaly going to cut back on the whole theme of what mortal kombat is just to kiss DCs ass. Hopefully Ill be wrong but I doubt this game will even be worth the cost of a verbatim dual layer dvd.(1.80)

Streetfighter is playable, mortal combat is a joke XD, but then I'm talking about the old games, I don't even consider newer ones.

seriously dude, I've got the Mortal Combat games for the gens, they are nearly unplayable XD the engine is that bad! Its sort of fun to mash buttons and pretend you're good when you're just doing the scorpion uppercut chain over and over again.

yeah I was looking at the fatality vid, and I was like "WTF these aren't fatalities", not even 1 person got their arms ripped outs using nothing but brute strength. How ever I probably wont get it, I dont have any $$$.

The bottom line is Street fighter and Mortal Kombat have to stop dicking around in comic books and fight each other. I don't care if the licensing fees are more than the wall street bailout, I'd be willing to sign a petition and even donate money to see it happen.

Id like to see a fighter thats not made with mugen, Id say use the soul cal 4 engine, and have all the best characters from SF, SC, MK, DOA, VF, KOF, Teken, Powerstone and a few other games. that would probably be a 120 dollar game. maybe about 60-80 characters. mugen is ok for what it is, but your done with it in a day or two, we gotta have a proffesionaly made game for new systems. not some game where some characters are tiny as hell and others take up a quarter of the screen cause different people made each one. and alot of the characters on mugen suck bad, some barely work at all.

it starts with the good guys destroying shao kahn. he turns into dark khan, a blatant ripoff of other games main bosses, he looks like a flaming monster shaped charcoal shit think of prety much every other fighting series, they all have one. causes everyone to be raged and want to fight eachother, they feed his power by fighting eachother, eventualy they all discover that dark khan is the force thats causing it all, it ends with superman and raiden being the last two standing basicaly, but all the characters kind of join sides at the very end of story mode good and bad, I dont know if its a problem with my disc but the cutscenes were choppy, and even if they were smoother it would have been crap, the voices acting is terrible, as is the story line in general. There arent nearly enough characters, and in story mode there realy are no finnishers of any kind, there are in arcade. and god DC has some shitty superheroes. Marvel dominates them in every way imaginable.

well now i know the story is shit which i was always knew would be.i always hated superman and wonder woman and wanted to kick the shit out of them both. the only dc charecter i do like is bats.but i agree marvel charecters are loads better than their dc counterparts.and what about online dude did you try it on xbox live yet ?

that just means another company will pick up rights to the game and any other midway stuff, which could be bad or good depending on who. hey maybe we could see a MK vs Soul Calibur.

yeh seriously MK vs SF should never be mugen, or SC4 or any other engine.. they should just make it like capcom vs snk 2... Where both engines are in the game but no 3d. Its just that simple, and would please both sides... I think the majority would love a 2d fighter anywho.

Im not even going to read any repsonses in this thread. The game is epic fail. It doesnt look too polished, It looks like the game menu was made in fucking powerpoint, however the gameplay is fun just like the old mortal kombats, and i mean come on the graphics have never been that great. I wasnt expecting too much out of this game, Just some filler game when i have more than 2 friends over.
I also thought to myself, Why would anyone play this game when Soul Calibur 4 is in existence? Ill never understand :x
