Title: Play PS3 with PS2 controllers

I didn't want to buy another ps3 controller to play 2 player games. Obviously, you can't just plug a ps2 controller into a USB port, but I remembered I had purchased this thing a few years ago so I could use my ps2 controllers with my PC. It's just a USB cord leading to a box with 2 slots for ps2 controllers.
I'm supposed to be studying for a social science test so naturally, I've been wasting time all day. I just plugged the ps2 controller through the ps2/usb converter and poof - instant ps3 controller. I just played assassins creed with a ps2 controller, so I know this is working 100%. The only drawback is theres no ps button for easy xbm return, but this is really handy for a free second controller.

(and of course a ps2 controller lying around)

This also works with PC usb controllers.

pc usb controllers? like any? I'd like to try my GRAVIS ULTRAPAD on the ps3 *laugh*

I've got a usb to 2 ps2 controllers adapter that I'll try on my friends ps3 later

Gravis ultrapad....that was around in the wolfenstein 3d days wasn't it?
Alright, well any analog controller I mean. As long as it's got 2 analog sticks it should work, but the one I tried has all the buttons a ps2 controller has.

yeah I got a generic walmart controller with all the buttons and an extra, I think Ill give that a shot tomorow since its usb. as well as my generic walmart universal controller adapter. I got a ps2, gc, and xb controller so ill test it good. lol.
