Ok so I just got back from seeing the dark knight. I just finished watching the first batman begins movie yesterday and was pretty excited for this one. I go to the theater to see the movie with my dad, thinking that this will be a great movie to see.
Sorry great? More like terrifying. And I'm not talking Scary movie terrifying, I'm talking like watching a terrorist movie on killing americans to show the world they have balls.
How was this movie rated PG-13? I mean it was just like watching a movie about just slaughtering people. Explosions, knifing, shooting, hanging, and recording it to show the world. I was disturbed be on belief. And please I am asking you not to flame me and be the Jokers bitch and tell me that I'm being a *****, no I am not. There's just some things in this world that no one should see. One of the moments that makes me never wanting to see this movie again was with the batman fake video. Of joker pretty much torching him, it was very disturbing.
Even my dad even would cover his eyes through some parts.
Right now he won't even go fishing because hes "Emotionally disoriented." He is like feeling sick.
And I guess Kids are suppose to go out and see this movie? I understand for some hardcore comic reading batman fans that this was exciting and dark and kick ass to them but to alot of people this was a let down. If you guys have kids I would suggest not having them go see this movie unless you think they can handle it.
Also one character I felt made the movie even worse was Harvey Dent. He took me from seeing what happened to the joker at the end, I guess they got the idea that batman rather go after some lawyer then wait a few minutes to finish off the joker. This is one of the movies where I wanted the superhero to actually KILL the super villain.
Alright so you guys read, you guys flame me. I'm all yours now.

Personaly I think the whole thing about joker is just a big ass kissing fest, guarantee he takes awards at every movie award show JUST CAUSE HE IS DEAD. I did love the movie and I was pumped WAY before Heath Ledger kicked the bucket. As far as it being the greatest movie of all time... I think 300 would like a word with it.

I am 25 juice, Mash is a good show, and as opposed to most popular sitcoms in the last ten years, its funny and has substance. but no sitcom tops married with children, I have the entire series on DVD.

The only one of those I am willing to take up for is Seinfeld, I grew up watching it and I really think it would probably be over anybodies head who isn't younger than 30. Plus my dad is a real life George Costanza... just 6'5" and about 350 pounds lol.

I complete agree...you may have not been serious but I am. The Dark Knight is the best fucking movie I've seen since The Matrix. My love for the movie has nothing to do with Heath Ledger. While he does a fantastic job as the Joker, the bottom line is that it's simply a great movie. I'm an adult and can deal with PG, PG-13, R etc. and there is nothing in that movie that 13 year olds can't handle.
I agree that the hype surrounding Heath Ledger is bringing in non-comic fans...but all that means is that The Dark Knight is going to make as much money as it deserves to make (a fuck load). Also, all of this "I hate everything that's popular" attitude is immature and uninformed.
I'm sorry I take that back...I long ago learned that most people have Shitty taste in everything...continue with your silly thread.

40 too long that movie was. joker role was average, Ive seen better batman movies, even if I don't count the last one, or the first one back in the 80s, infact, the tv show was better. ok that went too far, the tv show wasn't better im sorry. and whats the big deal with the so called violence? it wasn't that bad, no one was killed where you could see anything happen. stop shitting your pants people. if ledger killed himself from being too deep into his character, he was too weak minded in the first place and obviously isnt a good enough actor to matter.

Heath Ledger dead or not did one of the best performances I've ever seen in a movie. Jack's was good in a completely different way. This joker was much darker and insane.
Plus Heath had some good parts too, just like Jack, e.i. When heath made the pencil disappear. LOL
You have every right to not like the movie, but there were many people who loved it.
And before anyone says anything they should at least see it.

I liked some of there older music until they made more music and it all sounded the same, like nickelback. also Bono is one of the bigger assclowns in the music industry, right behind that retard who fronts coldplay, whatever that fags name is.
Seinfeld, there is no argument, its shit plain and simple. if that show makes you laugh till you cry, you probably do the same with dane cook.
Joker was alright, certainly not the star of the show by any means, of course batman was absolutely stupid on this one.

Batman was a little of a joke, they could of replaced him with cardboard cutouts and just had people bang it around and it probably wouldn't have looked much different. But I thought Heath did an unbelievable job as the joker.

I'm not a big Ledger fan, but his performance was amazing. Almost as amazing as when you were sucking your mother's dick. On the other hand, Christian Bale wasn't very good in this movie.

ANYWHO! the movie was not supposed to be a B rated action movie telenoob, it was supposed to be your trademark crappy superhero movie that everyone pretends to love even thougn in reality it is nothing more than a B rated action movie. It just so happened to be a B rated action flick disguised as a superhero movie. with A rated actors and actresses wich made it even worse..... although Batman sucked 100 percent no matter how you looked at it. Im not taking ledgers faggotry from brokeass mountain into account when I say Joker was bullshit, he was mildly amusing at best, but all in all, He sucked.
Reality is this, the movie sucked all around. from batman to joker the entire movie stinks of B rated Action flick. you inadvertently hit it on the fucking head, its an action movie much in the style of a jean claud van crap movie. and much less in the sense of a good superhero movie. this movie was a pile through and through. Ive seen better movies directed by Norm MacDonald.

I finally got to see the movie tonight. And I think Batman has a very bland boring personality this time around. He wasn't much of a hero and the city depended on him. He couldn't even bring himself to kill the Joker because he "completed" him.
I thought the Joker did an amazing job. He's the only reason worth watching that damn movie. So hilarious! Sure his knife was a bit intimidating, kinda freaked me out, but the rest of it was just straight up funny.
And SolidMetal you Rocket Knight wannabe, you're a big baby. There were over 15 little kids brought into this movie, and not one of them could be heard crying throughout the whole thing.
