Is it possible that a CDI image could be non-selfboot?

Not likely.  The whole point of making it a CDI is so that it will be selfboot.  Unless you mean making a nonselfboot CDI.  Then yes.

I came across a website in some foreign language. All i could read was Sonic Adventure 2, null DC and bootdisk 1.2
