Maximum The Hormone - What's up, people!!
-
Listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album right now. Not my usual music for sure.
-
that should be everyones usual music. Pink Floyd is absolute domination.
-
that should be everyones usual music. Pink Floyd is absolute domination.
I'm smart enough to recognize them as a talented band, but they've never been my cup of tea.
-
same. unless i'm on drugs, i couldn't give a shit about floyd.
-
Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames ;)

I can't stop listening to slipknot. It's really quite sad.

Thats awesome, I still haven't seen megadeth live. Rust in peace = one of the best albums of all time. Cryptic writings and Youthanasia were pretty good too. So much better than metalica.
yea a couldnt stop listening to them either. 5 years ago when they were good ;D
The subliminal verses took some getting used to, but I actually really like it now. Not as good as Iowa, but still a pretty great album.
-
well there completely different albums that dont sound at all like eachother, Iowa is a heavier cd that kicks major ass, while Verses is not soft in any repect, its much less heavy than Iowa, it would be like comparing Dig from mudvayne to alcohol and ass from Hell yeah as the same type of music.
-

Thats true, I think the main difference is the production though. Some of the songs on verses are really heavy, say if you were listening to them live they would sound about the same, but the first album and iowa were produced by Ross Robinson who is predominately just a metal producer, while the subliminal verses was produced by Rick Rubin who has also produced the Beastie Boys and the Chili Peppers.
-
Honestly, Im not impressed by ruben as a producer at all.
-
I'm really not either. The hip hop/rap albums he's produced sound fine although I'm not a fan of either, but I really doubt his metal abilities. I was completely unaware that apparently he also produced a Slayer album though. I wonder how that sounds. His shit is usually completely effect-free, kind of boring. I used to dig Linkin Park a little bit too, but of course he botched up their new album.

podcasts, from Lex and Terry to Keith and the Girl

I almost thought that said Creed, I would have to wind the pimp hand back if you listened to creed.
-
Right now i'm addicted to the Tenacious D POD soundtrack, and just got the discography for they might be giants
-
I almost thought that said Creed, I would have to wind the pimp hand back if you listened to creed.
I listen to creed. Their first album was tits. Then they got all christian and preachy. But hey, who the hell didn't buy the album when my own prison first came on the radio.
-
Yellow Brick Road by Raine Maida
It's a pretty damn good song.
-
Creed is a bunch of bitchshit... fag...eaters.
And I stand on that.
-
I don't know Creed but Alter Bridge aren't bad.
-
Don't mention Creed again. They're from where I grew up and turned from awesome local band to sellout pussyfied turdburger music.
-
I listen to creed. Their first album was tits. Then they got all christian and preachy. But hey, who the hell didn't buy the album when my own prison first came on the radio.
i remember being in like 7th or 8th grade and being completely confused as to why anyone liked that shit. and i liked some shitty music back then.
-
I don't know, when they first came out it sounded like they were trying to fly the early 90's grunge flag, which I thought was awesome. After I bought the album I wasn't so much into it anymore, then the second album completely sucked.
-
The original album wasn't half bad. "Torn" was actually a good song, better still on their independent release before Wind-Up got ahold of them.
After that, though...into the shitter, face-first.
-
cant stop listening to this shit
-
if you like that, you should check out this website:
http://punkmodpop.free.fr/mp3.htm
its a ton of mostly really obscure bands (including that one you just posted) from that same era and same scene. there's usually only one or two songs and its definitely a pain to sift through, but i remember finding some pretty cool stuff there a long time ago.
-
o shit thanks man! yea i been listenin to alot of mod stuff lately, its from a good era in the u.k. right alongside the 2-tone ska revival
2-tone for life!
-
Zibrazibra has been a'blastin from my ve-hikkle.
The Earth is a Clock, fellas.
-
Slow Cheetah by Red Hot Chili Peppers ... a nice lil slow song compared to their other happy beep bop stuff ;)
-
paint it black (the band, not the song)
-
Turing Machine have a song called bleach it black and they pwn.
-
oic
-
Ben Folds. Hate on him if you want to, but the guy can write one damn fine song. I wish more bands/artists shared his sense of stripped-down musicianship, honest and real with a minimum of production/over-production.
-
People 'hate on' ben folds? News to me :)
Hes pretty dope. Been listening to Gnarles Barkley more.
-
Trent Reznor's new stuff.
Totally loving it.
-
Everything Is Alright by Tomi Swick
Too bad I can't find a download of it anywhere.
-
Have you tried Blubster or emule?
-
I can't seem to find a good server for emule, can you recommend one for music?
-
I'm currently on the work comp, so i don't have emule here, but just play the numbers game and go to the server with the most files. If not i'll find it when I get home. Trust me, if it exists, i'll find it ;)
-
Hmm, so I logged onto a server with 1.5 million people and decided to do a basic search such as "red hot chili peppers" and 13 files came up. That's all. I don't really have time to mess with it right now either. That would be great if you could find it. Anything else by him too :).
-
No worries, i'll find it.
-
Actually, I just found some of his stuff on Piolet (pretty much the same as blubster), thanks for the recommendation.
-
Just in case you couldn't find it...
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1FYXKK8B (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1FYXKK8B)
-
Thanks. That stupid blubster shit installed spyware all over my computer.
-
Most of them will, just use a decent spyware remover
-
All of them had their own uninstallers so I just did those. It's just annoying.
-
It sure is, but when you're looking for obscure music you have to put up with some bullshit :)
-
I wish I could find the self titled CD by a band called second coming. I couldn't even find that on demonoid. Check em out

Haha, I live like 7 minutes away from that guy.
-
Hittin' up the new Backstreet Boys Album. Its pretty good, I just gotta let it set in.
-
yeah. jesus christ. suck it up and pay THIRTY FOUR CENTS for the fucking record.
http://www.amazon.com/Second-Coming/dp/B00000AGDH/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1204735380&sr=8-1
btw, if you ask me, that was some of the most boring, generic grunge-ish stuff ever.
-
The people on Amazon disagree :P.
-
btw, if you ask me, that was some of the most boring, generic grunge-ish stuff ever.
Yeah, but nobody asked you. And I don't want to pay for it. I bought the album once and it got fucked up in a car accident. Thirty four cents or not. What fucking bug crawled up your ass anyway.
-
oh gee. sorry for 1) showing you exactly where you can get it, thereby answering your question and 2) trying to have a conversation about some of the music posted rather than.

I would totally respond to that, but all I have to say is to ask the same thing I asked before.
So, once again......
What fucking bug crawled up your ass anyway.
Eh....forget it, its not important.
-
If you want it REALLY bad, create multiple accounts @ www.sentero.net (http://www.sentero.net) I know its there. Songs cost 25c each, but you get $2.50 starting credit. So if you create a couple of accounts you should have enought to get the whole bloody thing. 8)
-
The site's not there, did you spell it wrong or something?
-
it was .net >:(
-
I would totally respond to that, but all I have to say is to ask the same thing I asked before.

you seriously think that me passing judgment on a song you posted is me having a bug up my ass? i like talking music. god forbid we have differing opinions on the music we're talking about.

Here's how you work it.
Here's the original link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3y44LELQtA
You insert the video code (rightmost number/letter combination) in between a start/end youtube UBB code.

turns out like this:

Say what you want to about his crazy ass and his crazy beliefs - the man still writes some of the best music you can get today. I don't think there's a Beck album that I don't like.

Happy Hardcore Vol 1
Armin Van Buuren - A State of Trance 345
-
"Mexican Flyer" by Ken Woodman & His Piccadilly Brass.
It's the original song that the entire soundtrack for Space Channel 5 revolved around. It's a sick tune, very old-school while still being pretty edgy, especially when you compare the song to what today's music sounds like.
-

ROFL
Necrophagist, Corky and the juice pigs, Fear factory, Misery index. I had my MP3 player set to random in the car and thats the 4 bands that came on.
-
i'm reading this book called our band could be your life: scenes from the american indie underground from 1981-1991 that is basically a collection of essays about the history of 13 bands from that time period, so i've been checking out some of the bands that i'm not all that familiar with so that i know something about them while i'm reading about that. that was a long sentence.
so anyway, i'm listening to big black, and while they considered themselves a punk band, this is very much the precursor to something like nine inch nails. if you're into that sort of business (i'm not, really), i would recommend it.
-
(fake) EDIT
actually, as i keep listening, this shit is pretty rad.
-
I can definitely see how NIN (mainly Broken-era) could be influenced from Big Black. I actually kind of like this. Very ahead of its time.

-
Heh, guess the song was tagged wrong.
-
Everyone should look for some Scapegoat Wax if you can get lucky enough to find it. Let me know if there is interest, I have both of their albums and I could upload them.
If you are wondering who they are you might be able to remember one of their singles called Hello Allison (aka Aisle 10) from Jet Set Radio Future for the Xbox. I dont know if it was in Jet Grind Radio for the DC, I have yet to play through it.
-
All the Time in the World by Lazlo Bane.

My Fiance and I just bought a Wii a couple weeks ago. Neither one of us were ever really into any video games but this thing is addictive. Tennis is by far the most competitive and fast paced game we play. Its actually a bit of a workout if you really get into it.
We actually had to move it into another room in the house because we got tired of constantly having to move some of the breakable things out of the living room.

Does that belong on this forum? :P
